I've messed up my trademark application. How do I drop/cancel it so I can file a new one? - trademark application fee
Can I cancel the order only (I know that taxes are not refundable) and a new request instead? The problem was choosing the wrong assignment of the mark and the solicitor of the USPTO has highlighted a conflict with an existing brand. This is an American brand. Thank you in advance.

You can verify the classification by an amendment, without applying for new.
See METR 1401.03 (b): "In the last analysis, the classification must be if the class numbers are not correct. If the auditor requires or recommends a change in the labeling of goods or services, the change in classification that would Advocate review include a change in classification. "
